Over time, a ritual has become established in our workshop.
Every intern who joins us is invited to create, imagine, and design a barometer that reflects them.
It's a special moment where everyone can express their sensibility, their inspirations, and their creativity through a unique object.
These creations then become a trace of their time with us and contribute to keeping the workshop's history alive.
SARA'S BAROMETER
For this barometer, Sara entirely hand-cut the central brass piece, dedicating long hours to this meticulous work.
Over time, the material opens and lightens, revealing the barometer's movement with finesse and precision.
A sensitive and delicate creation, reflecting her attention to detail and her commitment to the craft.
Killian's Barometer
For this barometer, Killian played with materials, reliefs, and light to create a dial of great depth.
The geometric decorations, the openwork revealing the movement, and the sunburst finish are testament to meticulous handcraftsmanship, carried out with patience and precision.
An elegant and contemporary piece, where the tradition of Maison NAUDET meets Killian's creative vision.
Eliott's Barometer
For this barometer, Eliott has chosen to leave the mechanism exposed, elegantly revealing the heart of the instrument.
The contrast between the deep black of the dial and the gleam of the brass subtly reveals the beauty of the movement and Eliott's passion for watchmaking.

MAËL'S BAROMETER
For this barometer, Maël hand-drew plant-inspired shapes in the center of the dial.
His background in applied arts is reflected in this composition, where drawing becomes a true language.
A piece full of personality, just like Maël, inspired by his artistic vision.
Gabriel's Barometer
For this barometer, Gabriel chose to engrave the dial directly onto the glass, elegantly revealing the heart of the instrument.
Originally from Reunion Island, he humorously reinterprets weather indications by replacing the traditional terms with "Brittany" and "Reunion".
An original and characterful creation, made from an old silver-plated metal casing, which gives the instrument a second life while reflecting Gabriel's convivial personality.
Restoration of a monumental barometer in Bordeaux
We recently had the honor of participating in the restoration of a monumental barometer located on the facade of Galeries Lafayette Bordeaux.
This type of instrument, both decorative and scientific, is part of our architectural and technical heritage. Exposed to the elements and the passage of time,
this barometer required a complete overhaul to restore
its original precision and aesthetics.
Our intervention consisted of meticulous restoration work:
cleaning of the elements, restoration of the mechanism, verification of the reliability of measurements, and renovation of visible parts to respect the historical aspect of the whole.
This project perfectly illustrates our expertise: beyond selling instruments, we also work on unique,
old, or large pieces,
whether they are intended for decorative or functional use.
NAUDET is working on a new generation of tidal pendulum
When perfectly regular mechanics meet a phenomenon that isn't...
For many years, NAUDET has manufactured tide clocks that allow you to track the movement of the sea with a single glance.
However, traditional tide clocks have a limitation inherent in their operation.
Their electric movement performs a rotation according to a fixed cycle of approximately 12 hours and 25 minutes, corresponding to the average time between two high tides.
The sea, however, is much more complex.
Under the influence of the Moon, the Sun, and the specific characteristics of each coastline, the actual time of tides varies. A clock operating at a constant speed therefore cannot remain perfectly synchronized with the actual tide throughout the year.
It is precisely to limit this discrepancy that we now recommend setting our tide clocks during a new moon period.
A New Chapter for the Tide Clock
NAUDET partners with Marees.org,
inventor of the Connected Tide Clock.
This collaboration brings together two complementary areas of expertise:
NAUDET designs and manufactures the casing, dial, and hand, then assembles the instrument.
Marees.org provides the connected module and the forecasting service that powers it.
A traditional tide clock operates at a fixed pace.
This new instrument will track the actual tide of the chosen location.
It will thus display the tide status corresponding to the selected location, as closely as possible to its real evolution.
Our ambition: to retain the elegance and immediate readability of a genuine NAUDET analog clock,
while combining our historical expertise with the possibilities offered by technology.
The project is currently under development and fine-tuning.
