A visit to the Naudet workshop is fascinating: the last French barometer factory, they manufacture almost all parts from raw materials and then assemble them.
Only 3 employees do all this with passion, using often very old machines.
It's practically fine craftsmanship... Plus, they also restore barometers or clocks of all brands.
Bravo to them for the idea of opening their workshop to the public,
and thank you for their warm welcome!!

The passion to continue making and repairing these beautiful objects is still alive and infectious. The expertise, preserved for over a century and a half and so well explained by this small team, is remarkable. A big thank you to them!
A visit that all 3 people in our group highly recommend.

NAUDET House in
Since 1860, Maison NAUDET has perpetuated a rare expertise: designing, manufacturing, restoring, and repairing measuring instruments in France.
Over the years, our workshop has become a place where enthusiasts, collectors, professionals, and the curious meet, all driven by the same interest in these objects designed to last.
When journalists from Le Monde walked through the doors of our workshop, they came to discover much more than barometers. They came to tell the story of a family business, of a still vibrant craft, and of the women and men who, every day, perpetuate gestures passed down for over 160 years.
This article is a wonderful recognition of our work, but above all, of the importance of preserving a technical heritage and French know-how that we are committed to transmitting.
We are happy to share this encounter with you and hope it will make you want to discover what goes on behind the scenes at Maison NAUDET.
