Altitude plays an essential role in its operation: the higher you go, the lower the pressure.
To what value should you set your barometer?
This tool allows you to accurately determine the atmospheric pressure for your location in order to correctly calibrate your instrument.
👉 Select the graduation displayed on your barometer, then click on the map at the location of your instrument.
The adjustment value will be displayed automatically.
All you have to do is adjust your barometer until its main hand indicates this value.
How to set and install your barometer?
Our barometers are factory-set according to the altitude of the place of use.
An adjustment can be made using the adjustment screw located on the back of the device.
On some models, access is gained by removing the bezel cover.
The screw should be handled with care, making small adjustments while observing the needle's movement.
Regarding installation: our barometers are designed for indoor use.
It is preferable to avoid locations directly exposed to sunlight or significant temperature variations.
How to interpret the variations?
The main needle naturally follows variations in atmospheric pressure.
The reference needle, which can be manually adjusted, allows a position to be memorized to easily observe pressure changes.
Generally speaking:
- a drop in pressure generally indicates deteriorating weather
- a rise in pressure indicates an improvement
