HYGROMETER

Hygrometers are used to measure humidity levels in the air.
This measurement is carried out using a natural hair, selected for its hygroscopic properties.
The hair lengthens or retracts depending on the ambient humidity.

This lengthening can reach approximately 2% when relative humidity varies from 0 to 100%.
Each hair is tested and calibrated to ensure a reliable measurement.

It must be strong enough to ensure the precise movement of the needle.

How to calibrate your hair hygrometer?

The setting is done in the workshop and usually does not require adjustment.
If in doubt, you can test your device using a slightly damp towel.

Wrap the hygrometer in this towel for 30 to 45 minutes, then remove it and quickly read the indicated value.
A correctly calibrated hygrometer should indicate a humidity between 95% and 100%.
In case of significant misalignment, an adjustment is possible using the adjustment screw located on the back of the device.
